Warlords in Seattle

As expected, autonomous anarchy was short-lived.  I'm not opposed to anarchist free zones, not at all; but they're going to need to think through the self-defense issues.  You can't set up a new way of life without defending a space in the world for it.  The most obvious way to fail is to be overrun, either from the outside or from strongmen on the inside.

Maybe next time.

I don't even know where to start on this stuff.

This has the "Surprisingly" meme written all over it.

(i.e. talking heads on TV saying the word "Surprisingly" followed immediately by a fact that would surprise no one with two working brain cells, such as "Surprisingly, despite increasing numbers of incarcerated citizens, arrests for violent crimes are down in recent months.")

Seems Antifa only knows how to destroy, not to build. Cronal would be proud. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Cronal

Warlord, huh? I suppose it's too much to hope for that he respects the Geneva Convention.

I've stopped being surprised by the folly of Antifa and it's supporters. And by their blind faith in the idea that humans won't act like humans have acted since . . . oh . . . the Serpent offered Eve a great deal on fresh produce.

Yesterday's news was that the Autonomous Zone had set a speed record for degenerating from collectivism to starvation, when they sent out a plea for food supplies. Supposedly they opened their gates to the homeless and were shocked when all their food got eaten.

What I want to know is, have they considered taxing the rich?

In a way. They're "taxing" businesses inside the fence as a condition of continuing to exist.

"The fence:" they've also discovered that walls have some effectiveness.
