Excellent. Let them stake out their position as being pro-socialism. Let them openly embrace that as their preferred governmental choice. Let them be seen for what they truly believe. This will play out against them with the general public, but right now, they're convinced that they hold a majority opinion. Let their fellow citizens truly see them for what they are.

For their fellow-citizens to see this, it would have to be clearly reported and precisely understood. Neither seems likely.

There's also the danger that the Overton window will shift left. If the left-most terminal is Jim Webb, the whole Presidential race (no matter it's outcome) is going to shift the country right. If it's Sanders, it's likely the debate will shift the country left, let alone if he's elected.
