That fire roasted corn was amazing. The sirloin was good too, but I wasn’t expecting the corn to be as delicious as it was. The bacon-wrapped potato slices were a good experiment, but they needed more time and slower heat.
I've been grilling corn for a couple decades now. However, I'm not fond of blackened kernels, so I grill it still in the husks. Peel back the husks (leave them attached at the bottom), clean the silks out, slather with butter and your favorite seasonings (don't forget the salt), pull the husks back up to completely cover the corn, then secure with BBQ rubber bands - they can withstand the high temps of a grill without breaking. Soak in cold water for about an hour-ish. Grill and enjoy!
My fire was hit enough that it burned the husk clean off one side and still charred those kernels. They were good, though: those few bites were caramelized nicely. The rest of each ear was not.
Nothing wrong with a good hamburger. Those are always welcome around here. We don't eat as much sausage of any kind as we used to do, but I still like it.

I almost always grill sweet corn now rather than boil it. Potatoes seem to boil quickly but take much longer with dry heat.
Looks great!

I have fond memories of fire roasted corn during childhood summers. That being New England, the meat was just hamburgers or hot dogs.
