I tried looking it up, but all I found was Elizabeth Warren claiming to Stephen Colbert that Michelob Ultra (which she filmed herself drinking in an ad) was “the club soda of beers.” That didn’t make any sense to me either, though it didn’t seem like a compliment.

What does that expression mean, exactly? 'Some people mix it with everything'?
I saw another set of contradictory quotes of hers this week. Whatever club comes to hand is good enough to beat her enemies with, apparently.
