Alive, But Ready for Rebirth

The Western as a genre. I think I may have posted this one before, but I can't recall. Rather than going back and trying to figure it out, well, it's a good piece. If you missed it the first time, if there was a first time, here it is again.

I run into people all the time who've never seen "Hombre," and here's a long article about Westerns that doesn't mention it. Not a Newman fan, maybe--no mention of Butch Cassidy, either.

Newman himself didn’t like Hombre — it was the only movie he ever apologized for having made.
