My precious

About sums it up for me.
Sure, I know, Republicans had a narrow majority, and they could only pass something through the Senate by reconciliation, which imposes limitations. But the thing is, Republicans don't hide behind the vagaries of Senate procedure during campaign season. Trump did not win the Republican nomination telling rallies of thousands of people, "We're going to repeal and replace Obamacare — as long as it satisfies the Byrd rule in the judgment of the Senate parliamentarian!"
What's so utterly disgraceful, is not just that Republicans failed so miserably, but that they barely tried, raising questions about whether they ever actually wanted to repeal Obamacare in the first place.

Yes, it's easy to come to the conclusion that the whole show of 60 votes to repeal Obamacare was just for the sake of the rubes. Really, the miserable failure of a bill would have only cemented the role of government in health care, while creating funding issues that would have required yet another 'intervention' later. Clearly the powers that be mostly want single payer; they're only differing on the right way to move it through government.

Solomon was given a ring that controlled demons, from the god of Abraham, Isaac, etc.

Tolkien probably knew that, given his extensive research into myths and legends. The Witch King, after all, is a Lithuanian title and is extensive in those areas related to Poland.

Those who wish to be neutral in the war, don't believe that the victims of Hussein Obola or the Leftist alliance exist. But that kind of belief system is taking a hammering when even the US President claims to be a victim of Hussein. It becomes improbable to maintain the illusion that the "victims don't exist". Because if they do exist, then the dead and living will cry out for justice and vengeance, and somebody somewhere will have to do something. And even Republicans don't like to take radical action, even when they think it is right.

In a war, if nobody is responsible for atrocities, there is no need. But if somebody is, then it causes escalation. But the problem with trying to stymie this by creating a bubble of illusion is that... it doesn't work. The One Ring of power does not make you immune to human frailty, as Solomon came to figure out later on.

This is part of the New World Order that the Alt Right reacts against. But because they are reactionaries, not progressives or long term strategic thinkers, they fall into another trap humans don't want to see. The NWO itself is merely a false flag op. They create policies and get Muslim invaders in in order to destroy the status quo powers and Christian groups, replacing them with blacks, transgenders, Muslims, whatever.

But Lucifer and the immortal entities are doing the exact same thing with the world's leaders, using them as stalking horses and monsters that will be slain. It's nice to know that even the world's greatest, cruelest, or most cunning revolutionaries and state leaders drunk on megalomania power, are still the playthings of Lucifer's grand strategy. It certainly puts Adam and Eve into a better light at least.

What a perfect image, Tex.

March 25 is the date of your post, and the date on which the Ring was tossed into the pit in LOTR. By no co-incidence, it was also the date of the Annunciation.

You knew that, right??

I agree with Grim--the bill was a waste of time and almost certainly worse than doing nothing. I'm not sorry they couldn't get the votes. I am sorry they can't figure out a way around the reconciliation straitjacket. My understanding is that it's not so much as straitjacket as a convenient excuse, but I'll be darned if I can figure out what they're thinking.

My working claim from years before is that Reid and PillowC have a list of blackmail material. Mostly on Democrats, but also on Republicans in DC. More for the incumbents.
