The Smell of Victory

They're smelling it.

And they just don't understand what is going to happen if they follow through.

Bovy is a Jew who does not like being identified as a Jew. Figures she would promote this agenda and yes she has no clue the firestorm that will erupt if it comes to pass. Please note: she keeps one foot in Toronto and the other in NYC...... I'm sure her bags are packed. :)

Now, I like what Ted Nugent has to say about Civilization.

“Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force."

A Civilized Act.

"If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force.”

“When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force. The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunken guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.”

“People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that’s the exact opposite of a civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly."

"Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser”

“When I carry a gun, I don’t do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I’m looking to be left alone,”

“The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded.

I don’t carry it because I’m afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn’t limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation.”

“And that’s why carrying a gun is a civilized act.”

I'm not familiar with her, but I've followed your links, and those links that your links had. It sounds like an interesting discussion, but one to which I'm only tangentially related. I can kind of understand what they're talking about by analogy. I'm pretty suspicious of 'white privilege' arguments in general, as they seem to me to discount how many whites are really poor, or disadvantaged culturally by being Southern or Appalachian. As the guy says, if this is really about who can get a taxi, maybe. But many whites live in places where there aren't taxis at all.

Nugent's right, though. That's a good argument.

The Leftist alliance bans guns in order to help their Islamic Jihad allies kill more people. It also promotes better gun sales to drug cartels and terrorists, which Democrats are in on.

And those whites who are disadvantaged economically, culturally, politically by being inner city. A factor the Left especially elides.

Regarding OP, it's interesting that the Left generally and their own Progressive and Socialist Know Betters in particular also very carefully elide any campaigning to amend the Constitution to eliminate the right to keep and bear or positively to ban. That's the stuff of which rebellion is formed, and should it come to that, they'll truly see what happens when those without guns try to face down those with them.

Nobody who matters actually reads the NRO. What will they want to ban next? rice cookers?

If the terrorist in Orlando had blown himself up instead, or used a fire bomb or just attacked people with a knife, would they be trying to ban all that stuff too?

Political posturing. Nothing more.

Missing from Phoebe's argument is any evidence that her ideas would work.
