"30% Chance of Rain"

In fairness, that was the Weather Channel. The radar app on my phone said 90%. I had a pretty good feeling which one was going to prove to be correct.

All the same, I got a lot wetter today riding the motorcycle than I'd hoped.

I'll pay shipping if you want to send some of that elsewhere. We've dropped from 60% to 40% to 20% chance. So it will probably bucket for ten minutes as I go from rehearsal to my car tonight. Or the Wetterfroesch [weather frogs] will say that this morning's light spitter counts as the forecast rain.

Yes, I have uncharitable thoughts about forecasters on occasion. And we need rain.

Hope you had a full face helmet rather than a face full of pins and needles. That's a genuinely unpleasant experience.

Occasionally I do too.

I wear my old goggles from Iraq, which are allegedly good against shrapnel as well as rain. I replaced the lenses fairly recently so they might still be good in spite of the UV exposure.

I don't mind riding in a heavy rain, if going at a moderate pace on a back road.
The very worst is a light rain, on the freeway, in a mist of road gorp thrown up by traffic.

Son and DIL in Houston had a few minutes of drizzle yesterday, the first rain in about fifty days.
