Here also. I am making fresh bread, cheesecake, spice cake, and more cookies.

Very attractive. I am a clumsy person who focuses entirely on taste - not because that is the only measure, but because it is the only one I can manage. I would if I could.

This twist cake was actually prettier than it was tasty. I'll change some things if I make it again. Nevertheless, it's pretty forgiving. If you have layers of pale dough and dark filling, and cut them like a radial fringe, and twist them, you're going to get an attractive pattern even if, like me, you let it get a little too soft and warm so that the twisting is hard to do neatly. I think it would taste better with thicker layers of gooshy stuff like apple compote and cream cheese.

The rest of the dinner was successful. Greg roasted a prime rib to perfection and served it with horseradish sauce and Yorkshire pudding. There was a lovely oyster bisque.

Merry Christmas to all! Time to wake up and start the day!
