Delta Dawn

There's a really strong Gospel tradition in country music; Johnny Cash diverted a good part of his career to it, the part no one remembers because no one really likes listening to Gospel. Nevertheless, it provides very powerful underlying motifs to the genre.

And here is the Waylanders covering it. They're a fantastic two-person band, the man providing strings and harmonica, and the lady providing drums. I saw them at the Tennessee motorcycle and music festival, and they were by far the best act.
