Republicans notice

The MSM has suddenly decided to cover the Obama treason story, but in the David Burge sense: covering it with a blanket until it stops moving. The first stories I've seen appeared last night and this morning in the WSJ and NYT, with the time-honored "without evidence" modifiers. Both are behind paywalls, so I won't attempt to link. The gist is that the GOP needs a distraction from Epstein and made up a story out of whole cloth for the purpose. I mean, who would do such a thing? Showing extra courage, the WSJ left off any comment link.

Burge. But you are otherwise likely spot on in your suspicions. This is an attempt to change the subject and get Republicans to be distracted into making comments they don't need to, which can in turn be attacked on other grounds.

Keep your eye on the prize. Observe the evidence as it comes in and decide whether it is enough.

DNI Gabbard did another drop in response to Obama today. I don't think they'll be able to ignore the story much longer.

I suspect it will be child's play, like ignoring the Hunter laptop.

Burge, of course, a/k/a Iowahawk!

Then they held the levers of power and had control over the documentation of the truth- now they do not. So we shall see what comes of this. I'm mildly optimistic.

I disagree it was child's play to ignore Hunter's laptop. The PTB had to sit on the NYPost, ban all mention of the reporting across multiple platforms, and conduct multiple smear campaigns against the computer store owner and anybody else associated with it. It took a lot of work to keep the lid on that story, and even if it wasn't nightly news there were still a lot of people who heard about it.

Which was, indeed, child's play given the timidity of the various news outlet managers, including those of the social media, along with their already having been spring-loaded to disparage anything Trumpian.
