Ten Thousand Journeys

The approximately ten thousand American civilians left in Kabul have been told to head to the airport, but they’re on their own getting there.

Hope the women had the foresight to buy burqas.

The disclaimer actually isn't all that surprising. The situation is so obviously fraught that there's no American citizen in or around Kabul who doesn't understand full well that the trip to the airport will be dangerous.

The disclaimer is there to protect the US government and any embassy personnel from the lawsuits that too many snowflake pseudo-victims, aided and abetted by too many fee-seeking lawyers, would otherwise bring--and might still, trying to take advantage of an otherwise legitimately tragic situation.

If they manage to get back to where there are US courts in operation, sure.
