Thought Experiments Down the Slippery Slope
My friend Jim Hanson (formerly Uncle Jimbo of BLACKFIVE) has a few narrative expressions of concern about the direction of America. His models -- which he gives up front -- are 1984 and Brave New World, and he intends these to be speculative warnings along the same lines. It's not that we'll necessarily get there... but we have gotten a lot closer to 1984 than we had hoped, even with Orwell's warning.

I now think the Brave New World scenario more likely. Didn't used to.
There's definitely something to that. People will tend to choose easy pleasures over anything hard, even to the point that it drains life of meaning and makes suicide attractive as an alternative. We see that every day.
I agree. We're already well into the Brave New World.
Of course, with the advance of technology, there's no reason BNW won't merge with 1984 down the line a bit.
Once people have that kind of power, I don't think they can live with our happiness, superficial though it might be.
They definitely cannot live with your happiness, properly considered. They’ve embarked on a politics aimed against eudaimonia for the many. For that reason alone they must be defeated or destroyed.
A book that may come closer than '1984' and 'Brave New World' to portraying the situation toward which we are rapidly moving is Kendell Foster Crossen's 1954 novel 'Year of Consent'. I reviewed it here:

That's quite an insight for 1954.
These two stories are very limited.
The stories I, heylel, and God logos created is far more interesting. Although humanity won't see Heyl-El's version.

Not as much given what else was going on at the time, such as the formation of MK Ultra research and CIA>
The clowns in action, had a bit of open secret in that their methods were designed to control humans. Specifically Americans.

Thanks for writing American Civil War II though. That was nice to see in 2021 now, when I was trying to think of how to communicate the vision of inevitability i saw in 2007.
I and God keep JImbo alive if only just for that. As an emotional energy body, he also does good work and I like that, always did at blackfive.
The consolation I have for everyone, is that saving America is not necessary to maintain the freedoms God spelled out through the Founding Fathers. God has a greater plan in mind for America or what you all think of as America.
This is not a debate. This is not an argument between equals. The decision has been made. Humanity's last vote was in 2020.
The Golden Age dawns in 2021, even if it requires the rest of the world to burn down first before new crops arise.
