Ska: The Mighty Mighty Bosstones

Yeah, not a Hall thing, but ... well, it's Wednesday. The Wanderer wouldn't mind.

Is ska even a thing anymore?

Um, update ... Don't post videos without watching them first. Reel Big Fish's version of "Brown Eyed Girl" ... not really anything I would ever post anywhere, I think.

Although I like their version of it, the video isn't anything I would subject anyone's eyes to.

Speaking of which, there's a clear difference between a phrasal verb with a particle and a preposition. So, 'subject to' is a phrasal verb and ending a sending with 'subject ... to' is ending it with a verb, in essence. While a preposition is, as the term suggests, a precursor to another word, i.e., an object. This weird rule of not ending a sentence with a preposition is a result of trying to apply Latin linguistic rules to a Germanic language, and it is one up with which I will not put.

Nice. Good Jamaican ska, the original. The only reason I know about ska is the 3rd wave stuff -- you can jitterbug to it, and I was a lot more interested in swing dancing than what kind of music we danced to.
