Outlaw Country, Medieval Edition, Re-imagined

This was one of the great films. It's a shame it didn't take off. It's all about liberty by law, the American way, as prefigured in the Medieval.

It was anti-Prohibition, too, as any decent liberty should entail.

To see the ranked archers shoot at the butts with the longbow, all dressed in period clothes, on a broad sunny riverbank under the Dunster castle . This is a sight. One hopes they recover from the nanny state, where a broadhead is a crime, and an spent empty case a cause for consternation.

This is definitely my favorite movie version of the story.
