I don't actually see Kerr's paper as trolling, so much as a wry riposte :p
What bothers me is when people post something inflammatory or extremely insulting with the express purpose of making people angry. Hard to imagine anyone getting into a flame war about Immanuel Kant or Bulgaria, though on the Internet anything is possible!
