Yeah. I remember realizing that, with luck, I'd live to see the timeframe for Blade Runner. We're almost there: it's set in 2019.
Motoko Kusanagi would be around 10 or 15 now, if she's in her late 20's or early 30's in 2030. (the original Manga was written in the late 80's). There was supposed to be a big war in the early 2020's. That might happen too.
