That's Some Edge

Headline: "Loretta Lynch Vows to Prosecute Those Who Use 'Anti-Muslim' Speech That 'Edges Toward Violence'"

Apparently the Senate voted on that gun control "proposal" of the President's, that he or any of his agencies be allowed to ban whomever they want from purchasing firearms with no due process. Had Congress gone for it, the courts would have surely thrown it out -- it's a violation of the 2nd, 5th, and 14th Amendments. Of course, being a scholar of Constitutional law he must know this. He proposed it anyway, and got a vote on it because of Senate allies.

The contempt for the Constitution is growing very hard to ignore.

Obama knows this but believes it does not matter. Or more exactly, he knows that "this is the old way we looked at the Constitution..." (and could explain that as well as we could), "...but I have a new and better way of looking at it."

This is very typical of liberal interpreters in general, to believe that we are moving toward better understandings, not of what the founders believed, but of what all good people should think. But Obama is extreme even among that group. He really does tend toward believing he brings a New Revelation. He does not just follow progressive fashion, as so many Democratic politicians do. He tries to set the fashion.

Demoncrats can ignore that contempt for as long as they wish. That's what Obedience to Authority means.
