A mama's boy will always be just a mama's boy.

Laugh instead, Grim. It's much better for your blood pressure - and for the ears of your nearest and dearest (or at least your nearest).

My blood pressure has been a little high this last year or so, though it's improved of late (indeed, it was perfectly normal the last time I checked it). Given how little effect I can possibly have on the government, it might be better if I just stopped reading the news entirely.

Sometimes that is the solution.

Yes, the six weeks I took off from the news were wonderful. I'm getting to the point where I may do it again for longer. Not quite there yet, though.

2008-2012 was a great time for training in the warrior virtues and ignoring the main sewer media, except for some blog updates every month or so.

The picture of clown shoes in this Twitchy exchange said it all for me. Good photoshops, too.

Otherwise, I'm speechless.

Grim, your package arrived today--thanks so much! Tomorrow we'll test-drive it on a neighbor's DVD player before we mail it to my M-I-L.

Glad to hear it. It worked on mine, which is more than 10 years old, so my hope is that it should be good for someone with older technology.

I was just getting my coffee and thinking, "You know, I'll bet Grim tried it out on his player before mailing it, so there's no need to try it out on my neighbors'." We'll run into the Post Office tomorrow and send it off. Gloria will be thrilled. It's a good week for her: she doesn't have to have brain surgery after all.
