Back when print papers meant more than they do now, I did manage to get a few letters printed. I did this by (1) only writing when I had something unusual to say (i.e., 100 people wouldn't be writing in with the same thought), and (2) keeping it as brief as possible.
I will say, this guy held to those rules.
