The Wickwick solution

Steven Green doesn't think Big Glenn deserves to be scuttled, but suggests that NASA's SLS probably does. The damage to Amazon from the launch explosion does, however, appear to be dramatic. Not all rocket companies are equally adapted to failure as a learning mode.

Impressive how much the launch tower wobbled, and how much more the mini-tower at the top wobbled, yet when the smoke diminished enough, both were clearly still there and erect. The same with the water tower on the right.

All three, though, probably want extensive repair and refurbish before they're marked OR.

Big bada-boom. Glad the crew was OK. Nobody said this stuff was safe.

Not an engineer but a mere architect, but I'd be skeptical anyone would dare certify any of those structures to be repaired after that. Too great a legal liability, and probably enough damage that it's unlikely they'd consider a repair regardless.
