All the Way Down to Ala-Bam

Had some business in Huntsville today, so I rode down yesterday.

Boyd Gap, on the Tennessee side.

The TVA made many lakes; this one floods the Ocoee River.

That one is small compared with Nickajack Lake, which floods the mighty Tennessee River.

Huntsville. Pretty sure this is the right place. Hard to miss, actually.

Friend of ours, ex-SEAL, lives there. Nice town.

It seems nice. Clean, prosperous, low unemployment (1.9% I was told this morning), but also low traffic: free-flowing on the major arteries. Chattanooga, by contrast, is also flourishing but nearly impossible to transit because it is choked.
