Trump as Next UK Prime Minister?

GB News is running a poll on this. Until this evening I did not know that Trump's mother, Mary Anne MacLeod Trump, was a Scottish immigrant. That appears to make him eligible for British citizenship, which would then make him eligible to run for office in the UK. Coincidentally, the next major election in the UK is scheduled for 2029.

This adds a point to my "the Democrats' claim that Republicans hate immigrants is absurd" argument. Trump's mother and wife as well as Vance's in-laws and Rubio's parents all immigrated here.

The Germans during a state visit presented him with an official certificate from his grandfather's time, as he was born a German national.

I don't know if the connection establishes a lack of animosity, but it does show that they're much closer to the reality of immigration than (say) I am. All of my ancestors were in what became the United States before the Revolution. I can't think of any family member who has married someone born a foreigner.

It is part of the deception that legal and illegal immigrants are the same. They are trying to create a cognitive dissonance that you can't possibly be against immigrants because you are nearly one yourself, and therefore can't be against illegals either, because they are merely "undocumented."
