Cyberpunk Revolution

The saying he is trying to think of is: "The internet interprets censorship as damage, and routes around it." The internet was designed to keep information available by routing around damage to the network, expected to be caused by nuclear weapons on key nodes, so that we would know enough to keep fighting. Turns out that's what it does, thanks be to God.

I am slightly puzzled who the “activists” are that assured the BBC that the peaceful protests had been hijacked by … I wasn’t sure, even after I read the article. That the military stayed out of it all speaks volumes (they are now patrolling the streets, probably to be sure that no one takes advantage of the situation.)

The military obeys orders; that's what it's for. What orders they're getting is unknown to me, but it suggests whoever is giving those orders doesn't have a favorite.
