The death of the Sultan of Oman is also big, at least potentially. If his successor allows a Saudi pipeline to the new mega port China is building at Duqm, it could take Iranian leverage vs the Straits of Hormuz off the table.

That depends on the PRC's attitude toward the West, especially Europe. And the PRC has been quite territorially acquisitive over the last few years and increasingly willing to threaten misbehaving nations that can't counter them.

And Turkey is torqued.

Which is a major reason they're in Libya.
