Why weep for them who will weep no more

Well, we weep first for the pain we so recently saw them through; and for our own loss of the pillars of our world.

Fine song, though.

Lovely. I might ask that it be played at my wake, but then, as Grim points out, it's a big ask of the living, isn't it?
I'd love to hear that group with a better production value recording, they're quite good. The Wailin' Jennys have also done it, and I came across this video someone did as a school project, apparently, using that version of the song. It's quite sweet.
Thanks for introducing me to this tune, Tex.

The two women are "Anna and Elizabeth," who record under that name. I don't know who the two guys are.

I like the Wailin' Jennys, too. Someone else who does a terrific version of "The Old Churchyard" is Waterson:Carthy.

This would be a really good wake song.

Figured it out: the guys are Eamon O'Leary and Jefferson Hamer. They recorded an album called "The Murphy Beds" that contains this song, but without Anna (Anna Roerts-Gevalt) and Elizabeth (Elizabeth LaPrelle).
