Survey says... less than half of Americans think he does.
You can't know what's in a man's heart, but it says something that a majority aren't convinced that he harbors love for the country he leads. Only 35% outright said he doesn't love America, but 53% wouldn't say he did.

"I thought Giuliani’s comments inappropriate, but the White House should be concerned to the extent their own signaling and policies have led to such a result."
I wonder if the author is aware that Barack Obama called George Bush unpatriotic.
BO opened the door on this one.
Valerie
I don't understand why the guy thinks the comments were inappropriate.
If I were a major investor in a company where the CEO didn't seem committed to the success of the company, darn right I would consider it appropriate to raise and discuss the issue.
The US presidency is not some sort of sacral position: he is not a King, or Pope, but merely our employee.
I think Obama loves the America he's trying to turn us into.
I don't think he loves the America that we are.

Eric- yes, or especially, has been. He also doesn't like many Americans-
"We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,...Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values."
He only loves those of his stripe- rather tribalist if you ask me.
It is debatable whether Obama loves America or not. What is not debatable is that Obama doesn't love or like a wide swath of Americans. In addition to what Valerie and Douglas have pointed out, recall what Obama said about "rural folk" : bitter clingers to guns and religion.
That's right. He may or may not love "America," but he's made it very clear that he doesn't love the America I'm from.
