Ghostbusters
It's the 30th anniversary right now. For a week or so, you can see it in theaters.
I took the family today. I hadn't seen it in ages. It's a surprisingly good movie. Almost everything that happens on screen is beautifully wrapped up in building out the plot and its universe. Well worth a few minutes, if you happen to have some time in the next little while.

My favorite scene, as a boy and as now, was the scene in the hotel where they take their first ghost. It's wonderful throughout, but gets better and stronger all the way to its conclusion.
I remember this movie.
Reminded me of another movie, Stripes.
I loved both Stripes and Ghostbusters. It turns out I'm almost certain to enjoy anything with Bill Murray. I even liked "Lost in Translation."
Lost in Translation... ugh. I tried, I really did. But it was so boring!
I thought you could cut the tension with a knife in every scene from the first to the last.
On the other hand, I had exactly your reaction to Beowulf. It's a question of which conflicts we care about the resolution of, I guess.
