The Importance of Training

Well, someone needs some training, anyway.

I'd like to try this important new principle out on other social evils. Let's put a moratorium on the IRA and the EPA for a decade, while telling the 1% "just pay what's fair" and the energy companies "do what's right," and see if we can get the economy turned around.

It's a great principle, really. "Do the right thing and we won't need all these guns." Quite possibly that's true, as long as we continue all doing the right thing.

On the other hand, if we're all doing the right thing than the guns aren't causing any problems! So maybe we can reduce the principle to "Let's do the right thing, and then we don't need to worry about the guns one way or the other."

No?

Absolutely. It's amazing what you can do without, once you postulate that people will do whatever you want if you just tell them to. I don't know why we didn't think of it before.
