The laws are:
(1) When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.
(2) The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
(3) Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Our SpaceLink internet service continues to give us fantastic speed and zero problems, as well, while the Spectrum cable connection drives my neighbors up the wall. Long live Elon Musk, who has done more than anyone else I can think of lately to preserve free speech on Earth.

Verizon sent us advertising indicating our address was in their newly expanded "5G" coverage zone to become our ISP for wireless internet. Okay, their top line plan is half the monthly price of Starlink. Okay, we do homework. Okay, our home location is on the hairy edge, but in, the mapped coverage zone. So we go in and lift the credit card freeze and fill out three or four application pages and come home with a box. And never get up to even one-third the promised speed. Nor connect to half the devices -- mostly WiFi security cameras -- needed for the local network. Free trial, yay. Actual surface based service better than Starlink? Not yet. Keep at it Verizon. Maybe someday. Meanwhile, Mr Musk, maybe throw in a free X twitter account or something for Starlink customers on our anniversary date?
