Miyazaki again. Only in Japan could you make an animated romance about an aircraft designer. But I suppose it's all the more interesting for that.

I like the concept- ever notice how about half of all Hollywood films are about writers, professors, film makers and advertising exec's? Hardly anything gets made about folks who actually make things, it a a paean to the manipulators and glitz queens.
A great movie....love the visuals, very different from typical American animation....not too historically accurate; the real Horikoshi was not as much a naif as portrayed, and was actually proud of the combat record of his airplane. Also, it doesn't see that his wife really had TB. Interesting article here:
