I like LaPrelle's voice so much in the style she usually operates in--Appalachian folk music--that I was surprised she could pull off Cline this well. It's like finding out that a fiddler can do a creditable job on a classical violin solo, a curiosity.
And to be fair, no one could ever rival Patsy Cline in her own genre. She was incomparable.
Joss Whedon, irritating as he is in so many ways, is a pretty good songwriter. The "Firefly" song is good, as is the version of "Sigh No More" he wrote for "As You Like It."
I just rewatched "Cabin in the Woods" with great enjoyment. If Whedon kept his yap shut on SJW issues I'd like him better.

Good cover. I like the sign out front, too.
But I like Patsy Cline's voice better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuZTk1hdpMs

Or, for a musical ignoramus like me, finding out that a jazz trumpeter like Wynton Marsalis can do Hayden quite well.
Turns out he's one of, if not the only one, to earn Grammys for jazz and classical in the same year.
I've never been a fan of folk music, though. Except, maybe, for the theme song of Firefly.
