Maybe it's a Christian donkey, and lives to serve others....maybe it feels useless and directionless without burdens....something lazy PC types might not grasp about those of us who define ourselves by our responsibilities and commitments....I know, know, flippant anthropomorphizing is silly...
I'd like to see the donkey given the emotional and socio-economic space to declare its essential cis-equine or trans-equine nature. Donkeys are particularly sensitive to heteronormative bullying.

What about the donkey's needs and dreams? Maybe it didn't want to be walking on that road in the first place.

It is, but it's the only way I know of for dealing with PC types.
