My same lurking neighbor caught an excellent portrait of one of the three alligators who live in our pond. This one's getting big. He stays politely in his area and has never menaced our cats or dogs, thank goodness.
Tons of feral hogs, but I've never seen them tangle with the gators. The hogs bother farmers' crops and often dig up lawns here in exurbia, but we don't have any lawn to speak of. The hogs tend not to bother digging under fences, or to be out and about in daylight, and we keep our gate shut at night, so we've never noticed any impact from them.

Do you also have feral hogs in that part of Texas? Two problems in search of a mutual solution...
