I imagine the paid actor playing the kid was glad to have the gig getting made fun of. Or if he was part of the crew that designed this, drew the short straw in terms of "Who looks the most like that sort of asshole?"
It’s another instance of unofficial uniforms. He’s that sort: look at the striped polo instead of a t-shirt. He’s got a cat and does yoga.
You can leverage this stuff for your own advantage. I wear biker gear less because I ride motorcycles, though I do, than because it signals everyone in our culture to tread carefully. It’s a literal skull and crossbones. Beware.
Sometimes it’s the best thing for everybody when we can be clear in our communication, verbal and nonverbal.
You might be right. David can tell you. When we met up he messaged ‘I’m about (height), beard, blue shirt.” I replied “I’m the biker with the braided beard and the hoodie that says GRIM.”
