Reagan made the same point, without the language that some are objecting to in Mattis' statement. I suppose it's fair enough to say that it's possible to make the point without the language; but maybe America needs to hear that kind of language from a guy like Jim Mattis more than we used to do.

One wonders what all the individuals with pussies thought of that remark, but here, I suppose, is an example of a word not really meaning anymore what it originally meant, but everybody gets the idea anyway.
Still, much like the insult in the UK of calling somebody (almost always a man) a cunt, the root of the insult is calling a man a woman, which has all sorts of historical examples, but not the other way around, really.
Curious that. Does still get attention though.
I mean, I thought the biggest shock was hearing a Marine direct this remark to Navy sailors. Next he'll be praising the Army for its toughness and mental discipline. :)

He should have made a reference to "Marine Uber"
It's ironic, isn't it, that the people (the left) who have been busy tearing down our civilized norms and courtesies, are now incensed that he's using vulgar language- in talking to sailors no less?
