Super Bowl Ads

A few are making the rounds such that even I saw them, which means you've all seen them already.

But heck, let's watch them again anyway.

At 2:33, I think that's our county courthouse. Only it's not a courthouse anymore; it's a library now.

Not the courthouse but the local high school has a less-ragged flag because I bought them one myself. I bought them the best one I could find locally, and donated it so they wouldn't have to hang a flag that was torn and ragged.

This song matters.

Any local Scout troop would probably be happy to give the old flag they had a proper retirement. Ours has done many.

Groundhog day was the best of the Super Bowl debut commercials, for sure, even if it was a bit against the wisdom of the movie (which is of course what made it work).

The Ragged Old Flag piece wasn't really a commercial, but an attempt by the NFL to make up for the whole kneeling debacle. In that light I had a hard time taking it seriously, even though it's good.

The Trump ad had to be making Democrat heads explode.

The only reason I see these is because my SIL and BIL invite us over to watch the game, and it would be unsociable to refuse the invitation, and besides we like hanging out with them.
