Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes

Maybe not autumn music, but Jimmy Buffet has a number of good, under-appreciated tunes. I understand the first is about his grandfather, a tall-ship captain back in the day.

I never appreciated what a really good performer Jimmy Buffet is, until I bought one of his albums and stumbled onto "Why don't we get drunk and screw?"

He sounds drunk, even to the point of cracking a note, without sounding bad, which is quite a trick. Also, the joke is that this is one of those songs where a man inadvertently explains why he is going to be sleeping alone, tonight. You know that for this one, even if he gets lucky, he's going to fall asleep.
