It is ironic and satisfying at some level. Yet having opposing groups uniting around hating a particular individual (or his group) seems inherently unstable.
I'm sure it's not stable enough to provide the ground for a compromise position that could serve to yield a workable set of agreements and actions. And the chant is symbolic anyway; everyone knows Joe isn't really the one in charge.
It is nice to see a generalized opposition to the establishment, though. They certainly deserve it, and agreeing that we won't be led by them anymore is a sort of progress.
