As a driver (or rider), the newer headlights are wonderful. As an oncoming driver and night-time pedestrian, I vehemently detest the new super-bright headlights with the intensity of a thousand suns*. Especially the blue-white halogen lights that wipe out my night vision.

There aren't a lot of drivers out here to inconvenience; by night the roads are all but empty, and there's no ambient light except from the moon. Mostly I ride in the daytime anyway; and then the brighter light isn't blinding, but it does help ensure that people are aware that the bike is there.
New headlights, to go with all the other new stuff. Brakes, oil, plugs, clutch cables, tires — the bikes are newer than they’ve been in a while.

I redid the whole back end on the wife’s. Repacked the bearings, while I had it apart for new tire & brakes.
