It's like the gent of Color at the library last week. He had an NRA and church sticker on his pick-up, a stars-n-bars flag on the truck, and was wearing a Goliad flag tee-shirt. I suspect that he probably is not a donor to our local branch of the Democrat Party. :)
The Confederate Stars and Bars is one of the six flags that have flown over Texas. It counts as part of our history. When the Ku Klux Klan revived in the 60s, they got told the flag did not stand for what they wanted it to. So, they flew the US flag and the Nazi flag, to make it all clear. There was no other reason for a home-grown group to fly the flag of a defeated foreign power.
It's like all those people that were going to testify about Hussein's past, mysteriously being wiped out.
Then again, the Demoncrats after CW I, did something similar to revert political control back to Demoncrats in the South. That totalitarian regime remained like that for quite some time.
