Well, the origin of the pieces that, dumped into a planet, could react in THAT environment to make something reproducible....over a time span that sounds suspiciously like infinity.

Truly, scientists are in the best position to appreciate God in his role as creator.

I'm with Eric B on this one. Keep in mind that our present form of life on Earth exists only because our predecessors, the methane breathers, polluted their environment with their waste to the point there was too much O2 in the atmosphere, and they couldn't exist anymore, except in the narrowest, most isolated niches.

Life thrives, though.
