A city park in California built a facility for skateboarding. Skaters, not being famous for obeying authority, refused to stop coming in spite of orders. So, the city brought in tons of wet sand and filled the park.
So now they’ve got dirt bikes.

The kids just might be alright.
This is certainly going to have an impact on how they view the world, and the powers of government in the future.

I am not sure but it seems the site was a privately owned "park" not a city amenity. One wonders if the city offered the owners a promise to remove the obstructive sand after the lock down ended.
This is what we call "unintended consequences".

Remember when the Obama administration barricaded the state highway overlook areas, just to make a point about what it means to try to shut down the holy government? Spiteful Nurse-Ratched behavior gets noticed. All it does is undermine confidence in Nurse Ratched.
