All fixed at the V.A.

What's the count up to, now, seven different V.A. caught falsifying records to hide delays in treatment? But the powers that be are all over it, having demanded the resignation of a top official, Robert Petzel.  The administration is so all over it, in fact, that it announced Petzel's replacement several weeks ago, in light of Petzel's planned retirement later this year.

This is getting to be an annoying habit.

What? The lying? I'd say it's compulsive, maybe even psychotic.

I meant specifically the attempt to use someone who was already retiring as if they were a scapegoat. An actual scapegoat would be bad enough, since the scale of the problem is so much more vast than any one person can fix.

They "fixed" the IRS problem this way too. Change nothing, continue the systemic corruption, 'fire' someone who was already leaving. And the State Department Benghazi thing: reassign a few low-level staffers for a while, at full pay, then restore them when nobody's looking.
