Thank you for your consideration, but as you are the host, I'm happy to follow your calendar here. I might bring up interesting differences or correspondences, but just for interest.
To be frank, the Orthodox cannot get their own calendars in synch, which is a constant although minor annoyance. The Russian Orthodox Church celebrates Christmas in January, for example. The only time the calendars synch Orthodox-wide is for Pascha / Easter & its related events. However, Pascha is almost always on a different date than in the West, which is its own minor annoyance.
To be clear, I only meant to acknowledge that you have a different set of considerations. I don’t intend to try to keep track of them. It’s hard enough to remember your own. I never remember when Ramadan is going to be coming around, and even Jews can rarely keep up with their holiday schedule. I’m sure the Hindus and the Buddhists and the Shinto and the Zoroastrians have holidays too, but that is a matter for them to take care of themselves.

In case no one picked up on it, I am somewhat annoyed by the Orthodox calendar issues. Hopefully these will be resolved in the next century or two.

Oh, sure. I understood that, and my first paragraph would have sufficed. But, the rest was on my mind and escaped into the comment.
