Fantasy economics

A college loses its shirt playing around with expensive, subsidized green energy initiatives. One administrator commented, "They are not a good teaching tool if they are not working.” I disagree.

Great teaching tool, as it teaches that the wise learn from other people's mistakes.

Not at all. The outcome disagrees with their holy writ; of course it's invalid. Move along, nothing to see here.

I know Mattoon. It's a bit far north and in a climate, neither of which suggests solar power ought not be used, but neither of which is optimal for solar power. If they're going to save 50-60 stacks per year, it's only because Government has made coal-fired power so expensive.

No learning at all.
