It's not a matter of making things transparent, just of routing the information from cameras to a helmet. Pilots will be able to look around, even straight down through the aircraft, and "see" what the skin of the aircraft "sees."
Well, that's no fun. There's nothing like a 45deg offset pop and roll inverted to visually acquire the target before stooping on it in order to share some scrap iron with it.

Might give a helicopter pilot more warning when anti air ground crews show up.
