This particular train is of the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, currently blocking the end of the one-way road into Dillsboro, North Carolina. I’m sure it will move on in the fullness of God’s good time.
The first time I ever came to Dillsboro they were doing a Thomas the Tank Engine thing. My son was just the right age to find that exciting at the time.

Was it a trap? Boxcar full of Pinkertons?
Looks like the GSMR programs have changed somewhat. Several years ago my wife and I rode on the Murder Mystery Dinner Ride out of Dillsboro.
I did not see any boxcars. Pinkertons, who knows?
