The Republicans are mostly doing exactly what they should be doing, which is resolutely opposing both of these ridiculous spendapalooza bills, and watching the Dems destroy each other.
Manchin had a lot of pretty words, also, in the fall and winter before last spring's reconciliation bill. He kept nattering on about how he couldn't support any bill that didn't have support from his Republican friends. Then he voted--twice--for Party's purely partisan, purely unilateral reconciliation bill.
I'm not at all confident he's a No vote this time around, either.
I've been in your camp on that (and Sinema) for a long time, Mr. Hines, but they're starting to make me believe they do have a point where they will buck the party. Maybe. I'll be actually convinced only when it happens, though.

Eric Hines
Both of these bills need killing, and he's talking sense about why. If he helps kill them, I'll be glad to see it.

The Republicans, as far as I can tell, are non-entities.
Tradition!!!
