Doesn't look like much fun, does it?

Oh, I don't know...a lot of those look like serious points. I bet I could pick up an easy hundred or so just in a quick drive through. More if I zig-zagged a bit....

It wasn't fun at all. This group blocked the primary entrance to the major hospitals in the city, including Texas Children's and the two level one trauma centers. Several ambulances were caught in this mess and one family trying to transport their granddaughter to Texas Children's was assaulted when they rolled down their window and begged to be let through the crowd.

Another reason to zig zag....

No justice, no hospital access!

The Houston papers reported that the organizer of the Freeway Rally was planning another for this weekend in River Oaks, a posh district. One commenter joked that the residents would arm their butlers and chauffeurs. Another added, "And their police."

If the point of these demonstrations is to show how unfair it is to jump to conclusions about how dangerous people are just on the basis of their clothing and behavior, I don't think they're doing it right.

It's basically a form of terrorism. And should be dealt with accordingly.

The ambulance cases are just egrigious, but all those people wanted and/or needed to be somewhere and are being kept from those places, potentially with repercussions for being late. What did they do to deserve this? It's time thievery, and that's no small matter.
